Writer: SUITE Lab WriterSUITE Lab Writer

On February 21, 2025, the 1st SUITE Forum [Undergraduate Research Presentation] was held at Korea University’s Media Hall, Room 602. This event provided a platform for undergraduate research students participating in SUITE Lab to present their projects and engage in discussions.

The forum featured insightful presentations on various topics, including:

  • The impact of fan-to-fan interactions in live streaming on K-pop fandoms

  • AI adoption in the Korean media industry

  • Young adults’ expectations of smart TVs

  • Passenger decision-making and in-flight internet connectivity

The session concluded with a panel discussion, where graduate students shared their perspectives and provided feedback on the research projects.

Over the past four months, the participating undergraduate researchers have dedicated significant time and effort to developing their research questions, conducting thorough investigations, and refining their analyses. From formulating hypotheses to gathering and interpreting data, each student has worked diligently to produce meaningful insights in their respective fields. This forum served as a culmination of their hard work, providing a space to share their findings and engage in constructive discussions with peers and faculty.

Min Kim

Through this internship, I had the opportunity to conduct research in my field of interest, allowing me to learn and gain valuable insights. As an undergraduate student, being able to engage in research firsthand was an invaluable experience, and I believe it will greatly contribute to my future career path. I sincerely appreciate the support and the valuable opportunity given to me.

Nayoung Kim

My internship at SUITE LAB provided invaluable guidance, especially at a time when I was reflecting on the core values I wish to pursue in life. As the media industry rapidly evolves with technological advancements, I aspire to become an expert who contributes to its development in a way that creates a positive social impact. I am truly grateful to Professor Seongcheol Kim and my mentors for helping me explore the questions I want to ask and the topics I aim to address.

Chanhyeong Jeong

I've always studied just to get good grades on exams, so I never really found studying enjoyable. As I conduct research on a topic I'm interested in, I feel like I'm truly experiencing what real studying is, rather than just studying for exams. This experience has made me realize how rewarding it is to seek answers to my own questions and expand my understanding.

Sunwoo Kim

It has been such an honor to conduct research together at here SUITE Lab for the past four months! I am truly grateful to the graduate student mentors and professor Seongcheol Kim I had the opportunity to work with.

This internship was a meaningful time where I learned how to identify problems and explore ways to address them. As an undergraduate student, I will continue to study based on my experience as an intern and keep my effort on developing the ability to research and solve tasks on my own.
